About the Dr. Jacob Bolotin Award
The Dr. Jacob Bolotin Award is one of the National Federation of the Blind's highest honors. Named after Dr. Jacob W. Bolotin, the first physician born blind in the United States, the award celebrates those who break down barriers, challenge misconceptions about blindness, and create opportunities for blind individuals to live independently and achieve their goals.
